Signals
Signals is a 70-second cinematic AI video exploring the tension between digital noise and personal clarity in modern Africa. Set against the backdrop of a bustling city at twilight, the narrative follows a single protagonist moving through a landscape dominated by the silent glow of handheld screens, ascending toward a higher vantage point to reconnect with a purpose-driven signal. Motivation & Concept In today’s hyper-connected environment, constant digital notifications often mask genuine human connection, cultural awareness, and individual direction. By juxtaposing traditional Ethiopian attire—specifically the Habesha Kemis/Libs and woven accents—with glowing smartphones, neon architecture, and telecommunication spires, Signals serves as a visual allegory. It asks the audience to look beyond the immediate distraction of modern media and seek meaningful elevation amid urban noise.
