Project Overview African Wisdom Exploration is an interactive, web-based educational exploration game built for the CANEX Create-Thon 2026. Designed with a commercial-grade aesthetic and authentic cultural narrative, the game takes players on an epic journey across 50 historic African sites—stretching linearly from the Stone Circles of Senegambia in West Africa all the way to the ancient walled city of Jugol in Harar, Ethiopia. By combining rich storytelling, historical accuracy, and dynamic mini-games, the project aims to gamify African history, architecture, astronomy, and indigenous scientific innovation for a global audience. Motivation Africa’s vast historical contributions—from ancient megalithic observatories and world-first universities to complex iron-smelting technologies and indigenous mathematical textile arts—are frequently underrepresented in interactive media. The core motivation behind African Wisdom Exploration is to bridge this gap. By grounding every step of the journey in real academic scholarship, visual geometry, and traditional acoustic soundscapes, the game celebrates the depth of African genius while providing an engaging, highly replayable challenge. The Creation Process African Wisdom Exploration was conceptualized and generated 100% through the Dala Studio AI platform: • AI System Prompt Architecture: I designed an exhaustive, highly structured master prompt encompassing system state machines, a 50-site academic dataset, procedural mini-game rules, and responsive visual layout parameters. • I researched and structured an extensive array of 50 real historical African sites (stretching from the Megaliths of Senegambia to the 16th-century Jugol Wall in Harar, Ethiopia), each paired with an actual academic/scholar NPC (such as Dr. Augustin Holl, Dr. Titus Burckhardt, and Kabir Abdulmuheimen). Procedural Mini-Game Engine: Prompted Dala Studio to generate 12 procedural puzzle types (MCQ, Sequencing, Matching, Simon Says Memory, Energy Flow, Ciphers, Drag & Drop Sorting, etc.) that reshuffle on every retry. 4-Tier Difficulty System: Used Swahili difficulty tiers (Rahisi, Kati, Ngumu, Bingwa) with scaled timers (60s down to 15s) and point multipliers ($10\text{x}$ to $100\text{x}$).Life & Streak System: Programmed a 5-Life heart mechanic, milestone life rewards every 5 cleared challenges, dynamic timer resets, and active Flawless Streak point multipliers. • Autonomous UI & Life System: Dala Studio translated complex scoring formulas, a 5-Life chance mechanic, milestone life bonuses, flawless streak multipliers, and modern African geometric styling (Kente, Bogolan, Zellige, Jugol) into a complete, single-file playable web game in a single generation pass.
